Partnerships Manager

Job Details

As one of the key players in externally promoting Crush, your role is pivotal in the continued growth and success of our business. You will proactively generate and curate a high volume of new opportunities to ensure that Crush’s business goals are met month on month. Utilising an extensive knowledge of Crush (what we stand for and the work we create), together with an up to date understanding of current trends and relevant sectors, you will autonomously find new opportunities, as well as align Crush’s growing network of brands with unique commercial and creative propositions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help Crush to create value by connecting the business with credible commercial and creative partnership briefs
  • Establish an in-depth knowledge of the unique Crush approach and breadth of offer utilising it to sell Crush IP and Partnership opportunities to prospective clients
  • Autonomously identify new business opportunities from your network of brands, ensuring each new lead is relevant and in line with our strategic and commercial goals
  • Build and nurture a growing ‘black book’ of brand contacts from which to foster regular creative and commercial partnership opportunities
  • Develop trusted relationships with brand teams, whilst gaining a clear understanding of their business objectives
  • Work alongside our MD and the wider team to develop engaging strategic responses to client briefs
  • Act as a conduit for contract negotiations. Use a keen eye for detail as well as a necessary sense of urgency to ensure the following: each deal is agreed within the required timeframe, both parties’ needs are clearly communicated, and the true value is exchanged
  • Pro-actively research and identify trends, building a solid understanding of the sector and wider landscape
  • Be responsible for tracking and reporting on several role specific business metrics
  • Maintain and improve Crush’s new business database and partner network, utilising the CRM to streamline approaches and derive insight
  • Track and manage an agreed set of KPIs to ensure commercial targets are consistently met
  • Report and map prospective client opportunities for Crush, scoping accurately in order to procure them
  • Regularly update and develop our case studies and sales materials to showcase our successes
  • Drive the new business agenda for Crush continually finessing the ways we engage prospective partners and create value for them

Person specification

  • Previous business development experience within a creative or media agency, or experience working closely with consumer brands, or from a rightsholder background
  • Passion for and understanding of the evolving digital landscape, trends and consumer behaviours
  • A track record of generating high volumes of new business opportunities within a relevant sector
  • A warm, empathetic and personable approach to sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, copy editing and proofreading
  • An enthusiastic self-starter, always on the lookout for new opportunities and projects
  • Entrepreneurial and energetic with a strong understanding of digital marketing
  • A proactive approach to developing long-term relationships with potential clients and key contacts
  • Experience with HubSpot is an advantage
  • A confident and engaging presenter, able to deliver persuasive and well thought out solutions to client needs
  • Have a passion for music, entertainment, sport and lifestyle trends – all the things we care about
  • Deep understanding of how consumer brands create value in partnership with talent and rights holders
