Liam Gallagher has become the newest voice of the passenger announcements for the Bee Network – the rebrand of the Manchester tram network. The update coincides with the Beyond The Music Festival in which venues around the city host grassroots gigs. Having the Oasis frontman voicing the announcements adds a touch of starpower to the Bee Network launch and leverages Gallagher’s Mancunian roots. While the Greater Manchester mayor allowed Gallagher to choose which line he would be voicing, they are keeping the specifics under wraps as a surprise for locals and festival go-ers.
